Horace Marais vs Newell Depardon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI France-Provence-Alpes-Cote dAzur promoted show at Marseille Schueller, Marseille,  taking place on 15/09/2026:

Clearly AI France-Provence-Alpes-Cote dAzur have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the France-Provence-Alpes-Cote dAzur Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Horace Marais (16 - 5 - 1) who hails from Nice, France and Newell Depardon(10 - 7(1) - 2) from Marseille, France.  Both Marais and Depardon weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oliver Cantona, and the three ringside judges are Albain Bonaly, Glanville Berland and Sennett Hugo.  

Round 1: 

Marais steps inside and connects with a left hook.  Marais ties up his opponent.  Marais leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Depardon pushes his forearm into Marais's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
