Waqas Kamel vs Tariq El-Shenawy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Giza promoted show at Eck Gym, Giza,  taking place on 18/09/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Egypt Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Waqas Kamel (12 - 5 - 1) who hails from Giza, Egypt and Tariq El-Shenawy(9 - 10 - 6) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Kamel and El-Shenawy weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amjad Antar, and the three ringside judges are Haaris Farran, Irfan Tolba and Azam Labib.
