Santiago Almonte vs Xeres Sagun

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan promoted show at Juan Barriga Gym, Tegucigalpa,  taking place on 21/08/2026:

Clearly AI Honduras-Francisco Morazan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Honduras-Francisco Morazan Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Almonte (5 - 6 - 1) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Xeres Sagun(4 - 5 - 1) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Almonte weighed in at 229 pounds, while Sagun weighed in at 238 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Fausto Zaragoza, and the three ringside judges are Cuba Barrio, Selestino Arjona and Montenegro Sicilia.
