Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Bob Guertin Arena, Gaineau,  taking place on 15/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Stewart (11(3) - 0) who hails from Regina, Canada and Dave Daw(11 - 2 - 1) from Vancouver, Canada.  Stewart weighed in at 175 pounds, while Daw weighed in at 174 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Henry Popkin, and the three ringside judges are Prewitt Gedeon, Aramis Duvauchelle and Verrier Luna.  

Round 1: 

Stewart lands a spiteful jab.

Stewart switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Daw dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Stewart connects with a firm cross.  
Daw feints a jab, but Stewart is not fooled and lands with a hurtful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE DAW WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Daw quickly recovers. 
Stewart is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits the target with a solid jab.  
Stewart finds the target with a jab.  
Stewart lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Daw lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Daw gets on the inside and walks Stewart down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Daw sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Stewart steps away from his opponent and connects with an overhand right.  
Stewart steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS DAW!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Daw recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Stewart switches the action to the outside and lands a firm cross to his opponents body.  Stewart attempts to land an overhand left, but Daw sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Stewart is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Stewart lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND DAW IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  Daw recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Daw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Stewart lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Daw is looking to close the distance.  Stewart EXPLODES a hurtful left hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DAW WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Stewart senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Stewart lands a cross, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES DAW!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Stewart!
