Michi Hatanaka vs Kyo Izumi

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Yoshi Uyemura Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 22/09/2026:

Clearly Panyin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michi Hatanaka (7 - 13 - 2) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Kyo Izumi(3 - 14 - 3) from Fukuoka, Japan.  Hatanaka weighed in at 199 pounds and 14 ounces, while Izumi weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Kawai, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Hasegawa, Ryuu Komatsu and Ryuu Komatsu.  

Round 1: 

Izumi lands a cross.
