Waqas Sheikh vs Okoth Ampar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Iria, Nairobi,  taking place on 20/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Sheikh (3 - 2 - 2) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Okoth Ampar(6 - 5) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Sheikh weighed in at 125 pounds and 7 ounces, while Ampar weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joe Mwirichia, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Lumumba, Lee Rebelo and Kyrone Koimbori.
