Cuba Urquidez vs Alejandro Santoyo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Guerrero promoted show at Acapulco Rita, Acapulco,  taking place on 26/08/2026:

Clearly AI Mexico-Guerrero have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Guerrero Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cuba Urquidez (2 - 9 - 2) who hails from Acapulco, Mexico and Alejandro Santoyo(6 - 8 - 6) from Acapulco, Mexico.  Urquidez weighed in at 108 pounds, while Santoyo weighed in at 107 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Bedoya, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Bedoya, Xeres Hermosillo and Xeres Hermosillo.
