Algernon Obekop vs John Hanna

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Pavillon de Juenesse, Quebec City,  taking place on 26/09/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Algernon Obekop (6(1) - 0) who hails from Garoua, Cameroon and John Hanna(13 - 6) from Richmond, Canada.  Obekop weighed in at 223 pounds and 1 ounces, while Hanna weighed in at 237 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Girardot, and the three ringside judges are James Mabon, Bruce Hathorne and Varocher Painchaud.
