Dele Akwu vs Paul Vozor

Boxing Daily Report from the Ofosu-Ayeh Promotions promoted show at Kano Ohen, Kano,  taking place on 06/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Nigeria-Kaduna State Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dele Akwu (4 - 4(1) - 3) who hails from Zaria, Nigeria and Paul Vozor(1 - 3 - 1) from Zaria, Nigeria.  Akwu weighed in at 134 pounds and 7 ounces, while Vozor weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Kefas, and the three ringside judges are Bright Kuti, Mudashiru Ogugua and Gbolahan Lagelu.  

Round 1:

Vozor manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  As Vozor tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Akwu dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Vozor walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Akwu finds the target with a jab.
