Robert Rantie vs Asif Abdallah

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Echo Arena, Liverpool,  taking place on 31/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Commonwealth Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Robert Rantie (22(19) - 1(1)) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Asif Abdallah(15 - 2(1)) from Gulu, Uganda.  Both Rantie and Abdallah weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Finn, and the three ringside judges are Robert Ewings, Zain Salam and Brian Hall.  

Round 1: 

Rantie closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Abdallah steps to the outside.  Rantie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rantie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Abdallah steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Rantie slips the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Rantie steps inside.  Abdallah lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rantie tries to land a left hook, but Abdallah slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Abdallah lands a left uppercut.  Abdallah tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Abdallah is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab.  
Rantie is on target with a left uppercut.  Rantie tries to land a cross, but Abdallah sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Abdallah switches the action to the outside.  Rantie hits home with a stinging cross.  
Rantie closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Rantie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Rantie pushes his forearm into Abdallah's face.  The referee warns Rantie and breaks the clinch.  
Abdallah steps away from his opponent.  Rantie waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Abdallah throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rantie gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND ABDALLAH IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Abdallah almost instantly recovers. 
Abdallah switches the action to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  Abdallah tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a spiteful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE ABDALLAH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Abdallah almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Abdallah is on target with a left uppercut to Rantie's ribs.  
Abdallah steps away from his opponent.  Rantie is on target with a jab.  
Abdallah tries to land a jab, but Rantie slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rantie steps inside and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Abdallah switches the action to the outside.  Rantie lands with a ramrod jab.  
Rantie walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Rantie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Abdallah quickly recovers. 
Abdallah is looking to keep his distance.  Rantie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Rantie lands a jab followed by a cross to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Abdallah tries to keep the action at long range.  Rantie lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Abdallah recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abdallah's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Abdallah's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Rantie advances into close range and crashes a hurtful left hook to his opponents ribs.  ABDALLAH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Abdallah recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Abdallah tries to keep the action at long range and throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Rantie crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents body.  ABDALLAH IS HURT!  Abdallah almost instantly recovers.

The ref takes a good look at Abdallah's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Abdallah is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Rantie!
