Joel Malcomb vs Richard Harkness

Boxing Daily Report from the Slick Rick Promotions promoted show at Auckland Hoepo, Auckland,  taking place on 23/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Malcomb (13(2) - 2 - 1) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Richard Harkness(14 - 5 - 2) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Malcomb and Harkness weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brin Stackpole, and the three ringside judges are Blake Brown, Joe Prosser and James Woodburn.  

Round 1: 

Malcomb is on target with a jab.
