Santiago Mosco vs Roman Cuevas

Boxing Daily Report from the Nabwire Promotions promoted show at Asuncion Cordoba, Asuncion,  taking place on 29/09/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Paraguay Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Mosco (14 - 6) who hails from Asuncion, Paraguay and Roman Cuevas(10 - 10 - 1) from San Lorenzo, Paraguay.  Mosco weighed in at 104 pounds and 8 ounces, while Cuevas weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lorenzo Segundo, and the three ringside judges are Bronco Albino, Loredo Machado and Montel Macias.  

Round 1: 

Cuevas closes the distance.  Cuevas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Cuevas is on target with a jab.  
Cuevas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Cuevas gets on the inside.  Mosco lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Mosco gets on the inside.  Cuevas attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mosco time to recover.

Cuevas closes the distance and walks Mosco down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cuevas is on target with a right hook.
