Sam Milliner vs Connor Finlayson

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Shreyas Gym, Boston,  taking place on 30/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Sam Milliner (4 - 0) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Connor Finlayson(1 - 5) from Santa Ana, USA.  Milliner weighed in at 160 pounds, while Finlayson weighed in at 159 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Oliver McCleese, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Burt, Hugh Hier and Hassan Quadri.  

Round 1: 

Milliner is on target with a jab.  Milliner throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Milliner steps inside.  Milliner sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Milliner is on target with a solid left uppercut.  Milliner holds on to his opponent.  Milliner pushes his forearm into Finlayson's face.  The ref breaks Milliner's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Milliner drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Finlayson is on target with a cross.  
Milliner lands a spiteful jab.  
Finlayson manouvers Milliner into the red corner.  Milliner tries to land a jab, but Finlayson dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Milliner steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Milliner clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Milliner pushes his forearm into Finlayson's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Milliner about fouling.  
Finlayson pivots from in front of his opponent and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Milliner's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Milliner throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Milliner holds on to his opponent.  Milliner leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Milliner connects with a cross.  
Milliner digs in a left hook to Finlayson's body.
