David Kambere vs Duante Ssegwanyi

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson Promotions promoted show at Kampala Azer, Kampala,  taking place on 03/09/2026:

Clearly Kit Henderson Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Kambere (6 - 8) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Duante Ssegwanyi(8 - 4 - 1) from Lira, Uganda.  Both Kambere and Ssegwanyi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Salim Tusabe, and the three ringside judges are Arali Ssempa, Amer Allee and Jack Mugo.  

Round 1: 

Ssegwanyi lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ssegwanyi finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Ssegwanyi gets on the inside and lands a left hook.

Ssegwanyi leans on his opponent using all his weight. Ssegwanyi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Ssegwanyi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ssegwanyi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Ssegwanyi senses Kambere is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Ssegwanyi lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND KNOCKS KAMBERE DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Ssegwanyi!
