Selestino Vera vs Quds Alhawwat

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Estadio Nacional de Lima, Lima,  taking place on 17/10/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the IRBF Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Selestino Vera (13(10) - 1) who hails from Huacho, Peru and Quds Alhawwat(22(11) - 2(2)) from Safi, Morocco.  Both Vera and Alhawwat weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jax Amaro, and the three ringside judges are Felippe Pedroso, Orlando Blando and Frisco Calle.  

Round 1: 

Alhawwat sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Vera lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

He beats the count, getting up at 7.  The ref takes a good look at Alhawwat's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Alhawwat is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Vera!
