Rafael Cabanas vs Santiago Canino

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Morro, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay-Montevideo Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rafael Cabanas (10(2) - 4) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Santiago Canino(10 - 0 - 1) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Cabanas weighed in at 146 pounds and 3 ounces, while Canino weighed in at 146 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ximen Feria, and the three ringside judges are Kiki Rangel, Franco Berrones and Reyes Olmedo.
