Charles Zonga vs Umair Noori

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nakuru promoted show at Mykelti Rubia Gym, Nakuru,  taking place on 02/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nakuru Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Charles Zonga (9 - 2 - 3) who hails from Nakuru, Kenya and Umair Noori(8 - 7 - 1) from Naivasha, Kenya.  Zonga weighed in at 146 pounds and 5 ounces, while Noori weighed in at 147 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Beauttah, and the three ringside judges are Jay Butita, Marques Muriuki and Malcolm Atwoli.  

Round 1: 

Noori lands a right uppercut.
