Loredo Canoy vs Mikio Okawa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Mitsui Garden Hotel, Chiba,  taking place on 22/09/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Chiba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Loredo Canoy (2 - 0) who hails from Pasig, Philippines and Mikio Okawa(1 - 0) from Kyoto, Japan.  Canoy weighed in at 140 pounds, while Okawa weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jun Usui, and the three ringside judges are Mikio Gima, Satoshi Nakahara and Takeo Nakanishi.  

Round 1: 

Canoy advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Canoy wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Okawa dabs at his face checking for damage.  Okawa has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
