Abdul Molla vs Akhil Kannan

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Lucknow Manne, Lucknow,  taking place on 22/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Uttar Pradesh Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Abdul Molla (4 - 0) who hails from Kanpur, India and Akhil Kannan(9 - 7) from Kanpur, India.  Molla weighed in at 241 pounds and 8 ounces, while Kannan weighed in at 226 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Damodar Ghoda, and the three ringside judges are Kailash Tewari, Lochan Rao and Kailash Tewari.
