Amjad Issawi vs Yasin Bashir

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Suez promoted show at Yasin Hegazi Gym, Suez,  taking place on 17/09/2026:

Clearly AI Egypt-Suez have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Egypt Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amjad Issawi (1 - 0) who hails from Alexandria, Egypt and Yasin Bashir(6 - 0 - 3) from Suez, Egypt.  Both Issawi and Bashir weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Farhan Hossain, and the three ringside judges are Khalid Abdo, Haaris Ashraf and Saad Ibrahim.  

Round 1: 

Issawi advances into close range.  Issawi is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Bashir has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
