Montenegro Velasco vs Porfio Salcedo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Guayas promoted show at Yalley Gym, Guayaquil,  taking place on 18/09/2026:

Clearly AI Ecuador-Guayas have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montenegro Velasco (14 - 6) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Porfio Salcedo(13 - 5(1) - 5) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Velasco weighed in at 114 pounds And 15 ounces, while Salcedo weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Tamez, and the three ringside judges are Diego Ramirez, Joaquin Mejia and Rio Garcia.
