Audric Giroud vs Richard Fridge

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-British Columbia promoted show at Surrey Erving, Surrey,  taking place on 16/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Audric Giroud (5 - 2 - 4) who hails from Burnaby, Canada and Richard Fridge(14(1) - 7 - 3) from Vancouver, Canada.  Giroud weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces, while Fridge weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Kenna, and the three ringside judges are Paul Trott, James Wark and Connor Blakely.  

Round 1: 

Fridge feints a left, and then lands with a stinging jab.  
Fridge advances into close range and hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Fridge hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Fridge forces Giroud to back into a corner.  Fridge pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Giroud steps inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Fridge sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Giroud hits home with an overhand left.

Fridge snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.

Fridge tries to step out of his opponents range.  Giroud feints a cross, fooling Fridge into launching a left uppercut counter.  Giroud avoids the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Fridge is looking to close the distance.  Fridge pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Fridge pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.
