Michael Samson vs Garen Lacourse

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Quebec promoted show at Floyd Johnston Gym, Quebec City,  taking place on 16/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Quebec Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Samson (6 - 12 - 2) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Garen Lacourse(9 - 1 - 1) from Montreal, Canada.  Samson weighed in at 125 pounds and 12 ounces, while Lacourse weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Smith, and the three ringside judges are Michael Oliver, Sid Leys and Gerard Segalen.  

Round 1: 

Samson is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right.
