Jose Castrillo vs Fresco Corona

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Puerto Plata promoted show at San Felipe de Puerto Mauricio, San Felipe de Puerto Plata,  taking place on 17/10/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Dominican Republic Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jose Castrillo (8 - 13(3) - 1) who hails from Los Alcarrizos, Dominican Republic and Fresco Corona(19(1) - 1) from San Felipe de Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.  Both Castrillo and Corona weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Frisco Belen, and the three ringside judges are Diego Pino, Macario Bartolome and Jose Corbo.  

Round 1:
