Drud Kurr vs Abe Marcussen

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Jacob Gym, Munich,  taking place on 24/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are The German Giant Drud Kurr (15(9) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Abe Marcussen(5 - 18(1) - 3) from Stuttgart, Germany.  Kurr weighed in at 248 pounds and 4 ounces, while Marcussen weighed in at 225 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Maximilian Berth, and the three ringside judges are Manfried Kubach, Arnaud Agers and Bem Gerhard.  

Round 1: 

Marcussen closes the distance.  Kurr sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Marcussen throws a left hook, but Kurr clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Kurr's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kurr pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a hard jab.  
Kurr lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kurr throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Kurr holds on to his opponent.  Kurr leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kurr finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Kurr switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Marcussen is looking to close the distance and forces Kurr to retreat onto the ropes.  Kurr connects with a sharp left uppercut.  Kurr ties up his opponent.  Kurr is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Marcussen steps inside.  Kurr lands a stinging right hook.  
Kurr tries to keep the action at long range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Kurr feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Kurr is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Kurr is on target with a CRUSHING cross.  MARCUSSEN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Marcussen has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Marcussen advances into close range.  Kurr quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
