Sam Glasco vs Owen Stephenson

Boxing Daily Report from the Monster Promotions promoted show at Goulbourn Recreation Centre, Ottawa,  taking place on 08/01/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Glasco (16(3) - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Owen Stephenson(2 - 6 - 2) from Montreal, Canada.  Glasco weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces, while Stephenson weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Myron, and the three ringside judges are Robert Dowe, Ian Dashiell and Matt Woodburn.  

Round 1: 

Glasco is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Stephenson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Glasco lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Glasco gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Glasco ties up his opponent.  Glasco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Glasco pushes his forearm into Stephenson's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Glasco to stop fouling.  
Glasco drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Stephenson steps to the outside.  Glasco contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Stephenson throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Glasco lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Stephenson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Glasco is on target with a solid right hook.  
Stephenson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Stephenson tries to land a jab, but Glasco blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Glasco is on target with a jab.  
Glasco gets on the inside.  Glasco sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Glasco is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Glasco clinches his opponent.  Glasco uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Stephenson behind the head. 
Stephenson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Glasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Glasco closes the distance and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Glasco clinches his opponent.  Glasco leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Stephenson recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Stephenson has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
