Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Bariagher, Kumasi,  taking place on 21/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kendis Acheampong (13 - 6 - 2) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and John Kessels(9(1) - 0) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Acheampong and Kessels weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kabonesa Dumashie, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Habe, Deion Agyemang and Uland Adade.
