Kei Sugimoto vs Hiro Okimoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hiroshima promoted show at Hiroshima Oyama, Hiroshima,  taking place on 23/10/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hiroshima Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kei Sugimoto (6 - 1) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Hiro Okimoto(10 - 9) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both Sugimoto and Okimoto weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeshi Niwa, and the three ringside judges are Nori Oye, Goro Tengan and Takeshi Yokoyama.
