Phil Blier vs Callum Prentiss

Boxing Daily Report from the Baddog promoted show at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium, Hamilton,  taking place on 18/11/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Ontario Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Phil Blier (11(6) - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Callum Prentiss(14 - 10(3) - 2) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Blier and Prentiss weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Biggart, and the three ringside judges are Neil Cowans, Dave Suit and Leo Gaddie.  

Round 1: 

Blier manages to force Prentiss into the blue corner.  Blier lands a cross.  
Blier gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Blier lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Blier advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Blier gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Prentiss attempts to land a left hook, but Blier sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Blier gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Prentiss sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Blier digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Blier steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blier is on target with a right uppercut to Prentiss's body.  
Prentiss quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blier lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Prentiss quickly recovers. 
Prentiss tries to land a right hook, but Blier slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Blier lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Blier is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Prentiss quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blier lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Blier lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Blier gets on the inside and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Blier is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Prentiss's body.  
Blier walks Prentiss down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Blier lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Prentiss is looking to close the distance.  Blier lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Blier steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Blier lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.

Prentiss tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Prentiss's body.  
Blier lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Blier lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Blier pivots to the right of his opponent.  Blier hits home with a left hook.  Blier holds on to his opponent.  Blier is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Blier and breaks the clinch.  
Blier connects with a left hook.  Blier clinches his opponent.  Blier leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Blier's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Prentiss quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blier lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Prentiss throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Blier closes the distance.  Blier pivots to the left of his opponent.  Blier drives a sharp left hook into his opponents ribs.  Blier ties up his opponent.  Blier leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Blier closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Blier dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Blier.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Blier lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Blier lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Blier hits home with a sharp right uppercut.

Blier steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Blier holds on to his opponent.  Blier tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Prentiss behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blier drives a stinging right uppercut into Prentiss's ribcage.  
Blier lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Blier steps away from his opponent and connects with a MASSIVE overhand right.  PRENTISS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Blier!
