Boris Dobelnieks vs John Gikonyo

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Skonto Hall, Riga,  taking place on 21/11/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Boris Dobelnieks (15 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and John Gikonyo(7 - 9(1) - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Dobelnieks weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces, while Gikonyo weighed in at 174 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Evgeny Shmits, and the three ringside judges are Sergei Cesnieks, Pyotr Dancis and Toma Pakalnieks.
