Mikio Sakurai vs Takeshi Umemoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Asahikawa Civic Culture Hall, Asahikawa,  taking place on 30/11/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Japan Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Sakurai (17 - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Takeshi Umemoto(7 - 8 - 1) from Funabashi, Japan.  Both Sakurai and Umemoto weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuichi Sano, and the three ringside judges are Eiji Aoki, Satoru Yasui and Raiden Sera.
