Joey Farney vs Jake Moris

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-New South Wales promoted show at Michael Malloye Gym, Sydney,  taking place on 28/10/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Farney (3 - 3 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Jake Moris(7 - 6 - 1) from Gold Coast, Australia.  Farney weighed in at 115 pounds, while Moris weighed in at 114 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Corrie, and the three ringside judges are Dai Lesley, Mark Karalis and Neil Malis.  

Round 1: 

Farney quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Farney drives a left uppercut into Moris's body.  
Moris is on target with a left hook.  Moris wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Farney dabs at his face checking for damage.
