Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 12/12/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the East Asian Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Michi Iwai (19 - 1 - 1) who hails from Higashiosaka, Japan and Michi Sakamoto(17 - 4) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Iwai and Sakamoto weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Nonaka, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Shibuya, Goro Oyama and Yasushi Uchida.
