Tunde Akpososo vs Khalid Munir

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kano State promoted show at Kano Asmar, Kano,  taking place on 29/10/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Nigeria-Kano State Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tunde Akpososo (13 - 3) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and Khalid Munir(14 - 5) from Kano, Nigeria.  Akpososo weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces, while Munir weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Adebola, and the three ringside judges are Gbolahan Adenaike, Chris Adebola and Hope Ukuh.
