Penda Katuntu vs Quannell Omach

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Northern Region promoted show at Rob Mwiraria Gym, Gulu,  taking place on 02/10/2026:

Clearly AI Uganda-Northern Region have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Northern Region Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Penda Katuntu (7 - 8 - 5) who hails from Lira, Uganda and Quannell Omach(9 - 9 - 1) from Gulu, Uganda.  Katuntu weighed in at 129 pounds and 6 ounces, while Omach weighed in at 129 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chiamaka Mugasa, and the three ringside judges are Yasin Dia, Uland Msuya and Keshawn Drito.
