Ellis Bateman vs Bryan Reese

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Wisconsin promoted show at Jamie Lessels Gym, Madison,  taking place on 02/10/2026:

Clearly AI USA-Wisconsin have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Wisconsin Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ellis Bateman (9(3) - 0) who hails from Milwaukee, USA and Bryan Reese(6 - 7 - 2) from Milwaukee, USA.  Both Bateman and Reese weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richard Cavanagh, and the three ringside judges are John Quirke, Rex Applegarth and Imran Ansari.  

Round 1: 

Bateman gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bateman closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Bateman ties up his opponent.  Bateman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Bateman and breaks the clinch.  
Bateman lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bateman steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Bateman is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Reese is looking to keep his distance.  Bateman quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Reese sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Bateman closes the distance.  Reese throws a right hook, but Bateman holds on to his opponent.  Bateman tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Reese behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bateman.  
Bateman advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Bateman ties up his opponent.  Bateman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Reese quickly recovers. 
Bateman gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Bateman is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Bateman digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Reese attempts to land a cross, but Bateman blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bateman steps inside.  Reese sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bateman lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bateman lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bateman advances into close range.  Reese sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bateman lands a firm right uppercut.

Reese steps away from his opponent.  Bateman lands a solid cross.  
Bateman closes the distance and drives a solid left uppercut into Reese's liver.

Reese voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Bateman is whaling away with hooks, but Reese keeps his defence tight.  
Bateman closes the distance and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Bateman lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND SENDS REESE TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Bateman is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bateman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a solid cross.  
Bateman advances into close range and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bateman lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.

Bateman is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Bateman crashes a spiteful left uppercut to Reese's ribs.  REESE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Reese now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bateman closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bateman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Reese steps to the outside.  Bateman quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND SENDS REESE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Bateman!
