Lee Marechera vs Gareth Chakabva

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Harare promoted show at Harare Zvinavashe, Harare,  taking place on 04/10/2026:

Clearly AI Zimbabwe-Harare have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lee Marechera (6 - 4 - 1) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Gareth Chakabva(2 - 12 - 3) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Marechera and Chakabva weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Mupariwa, and the three ringside judges are Mason Mandioma, Richie Mujuru and John Ngoma.
