Xeres Prieto vs Tyson Gourcuff

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Bob Guertin Arena, Gaineau,  taking place on 15/10/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xeres Prieto (5(1) - 0) who hails from Arequipa, Peru and Tyson Gourcuff(7 - 10 - 5) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Prieto and Gourcuff weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Prewitt Gedeon, and the three ringside judges are Aramis Duvauchelle, Henry Popkin and Verrier Luna.  

Round 1: 

Prieto is looking to close the distance.  Gourcuff throws a left hook, but Prieto ties up his opponent.  Prieto pushes his forearm into Gourcuff's face.  The ref breaks Prieto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Prieto steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Prieto ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Prieto pushes his forearm into Gourcuff's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gourcuff pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gourcuff throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Prieto gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Prieto ties up his opponent.  Prieto pushes his forearm into Gourcuff's face.  The ref breaks Prieto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
