Ulan Lekuton vs Mark Gichuki

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Iria, Nairobi,  taking place on 03/11/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ulan Lekuton (6 - 8 - 3) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Mark Gichuki(6(1) - 0) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Lekuton weighed in at 121 pounds And 1 ounces, while Gichuki weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rich Ashira, and the three ringside judges are Bob Mbiyu, Duncan Wakihuri and Lee Rebelo.  

Round 1:

Gichuki advances into close range.  You can sense Lekuton is getting frustrated in there.    He pushes his head into his opponents face!  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care!

Gichuki walks his opponent into the blue corner.  Gichuki lands a solid cross.  
Lekuton switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.

Lekuton is clearly losing his cool here!   He catches his opponent with what looks like an intentional butt!  The ref ignores Gichuki's protests and signals for the action to continue!
