Jake Namono vs Davie Kinard

Boxing Daily Report from the Carson Lelis promoted show at Phoenix Club, Anaheim,  taking place on 09/11/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jake Katonda Namono (7(4) - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Davie Kinard(3 - 4(3) - 2) from Riverside, USA.  Both Namono and Kinard weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Gemmell, and the three ringside judges are Henry McAnallen, Michael Hoy and Dale Halliday.  

Round 1: 

Namono hits home with a spiteful jab.  
Namono tries to step out of his opponents range and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Namono lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Namono lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Namono tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Kinard is looking to close the distance.  Namono quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Namono lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Namono lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Kinard sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Namono lands a ramrod jab.  
Kinard gets on the inside.  Namono lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Namono switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kinard's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kinard's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Namono steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Namono lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Namono lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Namono is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kinard tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Namono lands a left uppercut, cross and a left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Namono steps away from his opponent.  Some sustained pressure from Namono could be enough to finish Kinard!  Namono EXPLODES a mean left hook into his opponents face.  KINARD HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Kinard now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
