Sadikh Mardanov vs Atif Mattar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Azerbaijan-Absheron promoted show at Baku Bacchus, Baku,  taking place on 14/10/2026:

Clearly AI Azerbaijan-Absheron have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Azerbaijan-Absheron Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sadikh Mardanov (13 - 7 - 1) who hails from Baku, Azerbaijan and Atif Mattar(8 - 13 - 1) from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Both Mardanov and Mattar weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mehman Dzhafarov, and the three ringside judges are Mammad Akbarov, Syed Azer and Khamis Gadjibabayev.
