Odell Friese vs Carson Lorentzen

Boxing Daily Report from the Kalabulo Promotions promoted show at Jarl Hoy Gym, Odense,  taking place on 17/10/2026:

Clearly Kalabulo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Denmark-Region Syddanmark Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Odell Friese (7 - 1) who hails from Odense, Denmark and Carson Lorentzen(8 - 6 - 1) from Odense, Denmark.  Both Friese and Lorentzen weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Thorstein Pio, and the three ringside judges are Ultar Soren, Mats Budde and Amund Isaksen.  

Round 1: 

Friese walks his opponent into a corner.  Friese is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Friese throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Friese sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Lorentzen tries to land a jab, but Friese dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Friese steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Friese lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Friese cuts off the ring, trapping Lorentzen in the corner.  Friese lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Friese connects with a left hook.  
Friese pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Friese pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Friese manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Friese connects with a sharp right hook.

Friese cuts off the ring, trapping Lorentzen on the ropes.  Friese sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Lorentzen steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Friese closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Friese lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Friese gets on the inside.  Friese lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Friese has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lorentzen's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Lorentzen's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lorentzen's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Friese has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Friese pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into Lorentzen's body.  As Lorentzen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Friese dabs at his face checking for damage.
