Senior Camus vs Blaise Basque

Boxing Daily Report from the AI France-Ile-de-France promoted show at Espace Cardin, Paris,  taking place on 19/11/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the France Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Senior Camus (16(10) - 5(3)) who hails from Grenoble, France and Blaise Basque(11 - 0) from Paris, France.  Camus weighed in at 168 pounds, while Basque weighed in at 167 pounds And 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gerald Clary, and the three ringside judges are Thibaud Lippmann, Honore St. Vincent and Carvell Linder.  

Round 1: 

Camus lands a solid jab.  
Basque snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Basque closes the distance.  Camus is on target with a left hook.  
Camus steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Basque slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Basque advances into close range and drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  Basque attempts to land a left hook, but Camus dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Camus steps away from his opponent.  Basque is on target with a cross to Camus's body.  
Basque gets on the inside.  Camus is on target with a sharp right hook to Basque's body.  
Basque walks Camus into the corner.  Basque lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Basque closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  BASQUE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Basque almost instantly gets his legs back.

Camus is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Basque throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Camus throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Camus holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Camus pushes his forearm into Basque's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Camus about fouling.  
Basque steps inside.  Camus sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Basque is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Basque attempts to land a right hook, but Camus slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Basque finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Basque steps inside.  Camus digs in a left hook to Basque's body.  Camus holds on to his opponent.  Camus is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Basque forces Camus to retreat onto the ropes.  Basque connects with a right hook.  
Camus steps away from his opponent and is on target with a WICKED overhand left.  IT LOOKS LIKE BASQUE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Camus thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Basque away.  Camus lands a right hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS BASQUE!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Basque now seems to have got his legs back.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Basque's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Basque closes the distance.  Camus is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Camus is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Basque is on target with a solid jab.  
Basque gets on the inside.  Camus lands a forceful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE BASQUE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Camus ties up his opponent.  Camus leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Camus knows Basque is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Camus lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS BASQUE!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Camus lands two straights followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a cross to the head.  Basque now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Basque walks Camus down, trapping him on the ropes.  Camus lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Camus throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Camus throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Camus's body.  
Camus is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Basque lands a jab.  Basque now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Basque tries to keep the action at long range.  Camus lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Basque advances into close range.  Camus lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Camus ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
