John Rusk vs Quiqui Fontanilla

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Walter Pyramid, Long Beach,  taking place on 09/12/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the North American Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Rebel Rusk (12 - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Pembroke Pines, USA and Quiqui Fontanilla(11 - 4 - 1) from Leon, Mexico.  Both Rusk and Fontanilla weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Justin Crumlish, and the three ringside judges are Sam Dunkin, Waleed Naqvi and Joey Brice.  

Round 1: 

Fontanilla attempts to land an overhand right, but Rusk blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
