Daichi Takeshita vs Akira Nakamura

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Aichi promoted show at Shinji Sugimoto Gym, Nagoya,  taking place on 22/11/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daichi Takeshita (5 - 10 - 3) who hails from Toyohashi, Japan and Akira Nakamura(10 - 12 - 4) from Nagoya, Japan.  Takeshita weighed in at 146 pounds and 9 ounces, while Nakamura weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuji Tanaka, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Mochizuki, Kenji Matsushima and Taro Jo.  

Round 1: 

Nakamura advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Takeshita digs in a left hook to Nakamura's body.  
Takeshita steps to the outside.  Nakamura is on target with a cross.  
Nakamura drives a left hook into Takeshita's body.  
Nakamura gets on the inside.  Takeshita pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Nakamura walks Takeshita into a neutral corner.  Nakamura feints a cross, but Takeshita does not fall for it and responds with a right hook.  
Nakamura is on target with a right hook.  
Nakamura gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  Nakamura holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
