Makalo Masai vs Josh Taher

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Mombasa Tarbei, Mombasa,  taking place on 22/11/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Kenya-Mombasa Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Makalo Masai (9 - 0) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Josh Taher(5 - 2 - 2) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Masai and Taher weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is George Waciuma, and the three ringside judges are Jay Matiku, Hassan Badini and Fraser Magwanga.
