Josh Kennan vs Ian Petrie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-Victoria promoted show at Melbourne Giunti, Melbourne,  taking place on 28/11/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Josh Kennan (17(10) - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Ian Petrie(2 - 2 - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Kennan and Petrie weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Euan Kier, and the three ringside judges are Gus Seward, Alec Saghatelian and Dom Clapperton.  

Round 1: 

Kennan closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Kennan clinches his opponent.  Kennan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kennan lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Kennan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Kennan pushes his forearm into Petrie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kennan about fouling.
