Kook-young Ju vs Chu-young Ku

Boxing Daily Report from the Gyakari Promotions promoted show at Joo-ho Om Gym, Ulsan,  taking place on 01/12/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-Ulsan Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kook-young Ju (17(3) - 0) who hails from Ulsan, South Korea and Chu-young Ku(3 - 8 - 1) from Ulsan, South Korea.  Both Ju and Ku weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Seung-gyu Mun, and the three ringside judges are Jeong-hyeop Yoon, Sun-tae Ku and Joo-ho Jeong.  

Round 1: 

Ju lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Ku tries to land a left hook, but Ju slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ku steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Ju is looking to close the distance and connects with a right uppercut.
