Tariq Farooqui vs Gareth Kabwegyere

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson Promotions promoted show at Kampala Kaba, Kampala,  taking place on 29/11/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tariq Farooqui (10 - 8(2) - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Gareth Kabwegyere(15 - 1) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Farooqui and Kabwegyere weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Salim Tusabe, and the three ringside judges are Jay Mwesige, Ibrahim Saidi and Onaedo Odur.  

Round 1:
