Phil Balmer vs George Winchell

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Paul Maya Gym, Yuma,  taking place on 03/12/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Phil Balmer (6 - 4 - 2) who hails from Tucson, USA and George Winchell(4 - 1 - 2) from Surprise, USA.  Both Balmer and Winchell weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Malcolm Gwynn, and the three ringside judges are Tariq Mahmoud, Lloyd San Angelo and Matt Oliver.  

Round 1: 

Balmer sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Balmer throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
